OFFICE AND RETAIL COMPLEX

448
Mesogeion Avenue
Athens

The building is situated on one of the most important road axes in Attica and consists of two main units, with shops on the ground floor and offices on the other storeys, of a total area of 4,000 sq. metres.

Two garages holding 120 vehicles and of a total area of 5,000 sq. metres more than meet parking needs.

The basic aims of the architectural design are:

- Differentiation of the two building units with use of the same vocabulary

- Expansion of the public space, which contributes to the qualitative enhancement of the area

- Ensuring of the optimal working conditions by the use of state-of-the-art systems of prvotection from the sun.

Unfortunately, the design was implemented on the simplifying logic of the contractors. The building acquired masonry ‘skirts’, the bare reinforced concrete was plastered, and the metal constructions were simplified.
