ATE BANK HEADQUARTERS, ATHENS

Serpieri Mansion, remarkable example of Athenian Neoclassicism, was built around 1880 in the engineering plans of Anastasios Theophilas for Giovanni Baptista Serpieri.
The original structure of the listed building suffered many changes due to the subsequent housing and operational needs of each owner, that increased its volume with four subsequent expansions (height & width).
The design aims to improve the functionality of the building complex by aggregating and re-adjusting the interior of the existing buildings and adding new floors to some of them. The existing bearing structure is repaired and reinforced. Finally, the existing facades are renovated and the authentic coloring is restored.
